Well, if would-be tropical depression Anna doesn't actually come this weekend, we are planning on taking the boys to the zoo for the first time! I am so excited. I can't wait for them to see the giraffes. They have been one of Holt's favorite animals since he figured out that animals existing. My hopes are probably a little too high, but what's life with out the occasional high hope?
Here are a few things I've come across this week that are pretty fantastic:
I've just found The Noisy Plume. She takes the most beautiful pictures and I think a lot of them are selfies...which is kind of fantastic.
This is a great article about how we need more out of Marvel concerning Black Widow and her role in the movies and merchandising.
The truth about gender marketing.
I have been reading Laura Vanderkam's blog for a while. I love her very practical and straightforward way of looking at work and parenting and life. She is unapologetic about working and being a mother and hiring help when she needs it. It is quite refreshing. This week, she started a series on Faulty Work/Life Narratives and I am loving it.
Do you ever want to put something crazy in your house like this?
Here's to a great weekend!
